Board Game Fun

Here's how to do it:

  1. Make up actions for specific game pieces or destinations -- every time that you land on a yellow-colored space, do 10 jumping jacks while singing your favorite song.
  2. Act out instructions -- if the directions say to move two spaces forward, move two spaces forward while jogging in place for 2 minutes.
  3. Give bonus points -- each player may be able to earn an additional space if they could run around the house twice before it's her or his turn again.
  4. Add exercise rules --  when a player rolls doubles, she or he chooses her or his favorite exercise for all players to do.

You may think of your own modifications to your favorite games or even create your own active board game!
