"As a working chef I have come to understand the importance of nutrition. Food service hours are often long and physically demanding. So the better health that you are in, the better you can handle the job. As an instructor I now like to help people become educated on eating a healthier diet and how easy it can be to prepare and eat healthy food that also tastes great.
"After working in food service for 20 + years I eventually realized that I needed to change my diet and start exercising more. I then became interested in helping and encouraging others to do the same. So running on Team Marathon Kids seems like a natural extension of that interest.
"Why did I choose to run the Austin Marathon? I'm crazy."
"No one gets to their heaven without a fight." - N. Peart
