On Thursday evening, October 7, 2010, please join Marathon Kids in honoring Susan Dell, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation.  We are grateful for her vital leadership and impassioned advocacy for healthy children and families.  
 
"Heroes for Health honoring Susan Dell" will be held at Austin's Four Seasons Hotel at 6:30 p.m.  The October 7 event will feature elegant Farm-to-Table cuisine and benefit the 80,000 Austin area registered Marathon Kids who run or walk 26.2 miles over six months and are challenged to eat 26.2 days a month of 5-a-day fruits and veggies. Our target market remains those children most vulnerable to type 2 diabetes and sedentary lifestyles.
 
Marathon Kids started fifteen years ago as an Austin grassroots initiative. Marathon Kids is evidence-based and in nine cities across the country, serving 200,000 registered elementary aged children in 2010-2011 school year.
