Thanks to all who created a glorious Kick Off Saturday for the Houston Marathon Kids. Below are a few photos.

This was a spectacular day at Rice University Track & Field Stadium. And it was great seeing the children exerience being on a college campus.

Kudos to Houston Co-Volunteer Coordinators Chauncy Williams and Chris McClung and the extraordinary Houston Marathon Kids Captains and Volunteers from all over the city.

Heroic work was done by Associate Ops Mgr Jill Arthur and her compatriot Jenny McMillan, along with Kate Gorry of Rice University. Thanks to the Marathon Kids Ambassadors from Dallas, Physical Educator Terry Wade and Mitch McCoy! Also special thanks to Austin Marathon Kids Ambassadors and Physical Educators Pat Spitzer and Carolyn Dyer.

Most of all thanks to the generous hearts and great love from the volunteers and Physical Educators of Houston, for the children of Houston. You created an unforgettable memory for thousands and thousands of K-5th grade families, as they start their six month 26.2 mile journey as well as their 26.2 days/month of 5-a-day fruits and veggie eating! xxxoo
